 Trading Places Foundation, Inc. is a not for profit organization that provides counseling, education, and information services to low-income families and mothers on welfare who are economically disadvantaged in geographical areas of Atlanta.


The Foundation’s mission is to help individuals and families secure economic self-reliance, and become self-sufficient through Education Development, Workforce and Economic Development, Workforce Training, Safe and Affordable Housing, and Financial Security.


It’s vision is to be the community’s premier center that provides an environment where long-term unemployed participants develop financial independence and maintain appropriate life skills and self-sufficiency, job security, and financial independence. For hard working families making ends meet seems to always be a challenge and can make everything seem impossible.


Trading Places Foundation, Inc. connects low-income families with a multitude of skills, information, and training to empower them and reconnect them to society so that they can succeed and become self-sufficient.

2.  When was Trading Places Foundation, Inc. founded?

Trading Places, Inc. was founded in April of 2012 and plans on launching its initiative to provide workforce development workshops with job search problem solving techniques, and critical step by step guidelines on financial stability and solutions to strengthen families in July of 2013.

3.  How old must I be to receive assistance?

You must be 18 years old to receive assistance.

5.  How can I qualify?

To qualify, you must be at least 18 years or older, unemployed, or underemployed; meaning you are not making enough money to pay your bills, and fill out an Application for Services.


6.  How can I get an appointment with Trading Places Foundation, Inc.?

Anyone who qualifies may receive assistance by picking up an Application for Services online or filling one out, in person, in our office.

7.  How long will it take before I receive assistance?

You will receive assistance almost immediately once your application is fully completed and turned in to our office.  Once this occurs, you will be notified by us, in writing, in one week.

8.  Can Individuals, Businesses, or Corporations make monetary donations to Trading Places Foundation, Inc.?

Yes! You can make a donation to help keep our programs running to Trading Places Foundation, Inc. by mailing a check, money order, or cash to the address below.  Every donation goes directly to one or more of the programs listed above for the purposes of assisting low-income individuals and families with becoming self-sufficient.

Absolutely! Trading Places Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  All donations to Trading Places Foundation, Inc. are tax-deductible.
